One simple & quick recipe from my weekly menu is here. Hope you like it.


Carrot- 250 gms

Salt to taste

Oil – 1 tbsp

Coarse paste to be ground:

Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp

Green chilli- 1

Coconut small piece

Ginger half inch piece


Urad dal- 1/4 tsp

Chana dal- 1/2 tsp

Mustard seeds- 1/4 tablespoon

Cumin seeds- 1/4 tablespoon

Curry leaves-2 twigs

Red chillies- 2 to 3


1. Wash and peel carrot.

2.grate with a grater.

3. Grind ginger, coconut, cumin & green chilli.

4. Heat tbsp oil in a pan. Add seasoning . Let it splutter.

5. Add grated carrot. Saute.

6. Add turmeric & salt. Add ground paste.

7. Mix well and switch off flame. ( do not cook after adding coconut mixture)

8. Serve with rice.
