
Simple vegetable curry cooked in day today menu, simple yet delicious, one of my personal favourite. Grandma’s recipe. Some combinations are ever green, this is one I would love to almost every week, I never get bored of this! Below are the few ingredients this recipe calls…

Ingredients:
Ridge gaurd- 1/2 kilo( peel & chop finely)
Drumstick – 1 ( cut in to two inch pieces)
Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
Onion chopped finely- 1
Green chillies- 2
Turmeric powder pinch
Salt to taste
Chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
Garlic cloves 5 to 6 ( peeled & crushed)
Oil- 1 tsp

Procedure:
1. In a pan heat one Table spoon oil. Add mustard seeds, crushed garlic, chopped onion & green chillies, drumstick pieces. Curry leaves too!



2. When it turns translucent add turmeric & salt.

3. Now add ridge gaurd pieces. Cook with lid in low flame till water evaporates. When it leaves oil from sides of curry it is almost done. Add chilli powder & powder, 1/3 cup water. Cook for two minutes. Switch off.

4. Serve with rasam & hot rice.

A rare but wonderful combination of vegetable curry. Great recipe Shyamala
