
Every south Indian homes in summers prepare this delicious Dal. Yummy, tangy Dal is easy to make and it is rich in vitamin’c’and’A’. Let’s see the recipe of this authentic Dal recipe.

Ingredients:
Tuar Dal – half cup
Raw mango- 1
Salt to taste
Onion- 1 small ( diced)
Green chillies- 3
Red chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
Seasoning:
Garlic cloves- 4 to 5
Mustard seeds- 1/4th tsp
Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves few
Oil / ghee- 1 tbsp
Asafoetida- pinch
Cuisine: south Indian
Course: main course
Procedure:
1. Peel mango and cut into small pieces.

2. Wash Dal soak for 10 minutes.
3. In a pressure cooker combine Dal, mango peaces, chilles, onion pieces, turmeric, chilli powder and pressure cook for 5 to 6 minutes.

4. Let it cool. Mash slightly.

5. For seasoning heat ghee in a pan and add all seasoning ingredients. Lastly asafoetida and curry leaves. Add cooked dal to the seasoning.


6. Transfer in to a serving bowl. Serve with hot rice.
