Here is the delicious mix recipe for you.

INGREDIENTS:

Almonds- 1 cup

Lotus seeds (makhana)- 1/2 cup

Cashew nuts – 1 cup

Pistachio – 1/2 cup

Raisins – 1/2 cup

Ground nuts – 1 cup

Ghee – 1 tsp

Salt to taste

Turmeric- 1/4 tsp

Pepper powder – 1/4 tsp

Tips:

✓ quantity of dry nuts as per your choice and liking.

✓ dry apricots, cranberry etc..can also be added.

✓ Roast in low flame.

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time : 10 minutes

Total time : 15 minutes

PROCEDURE:

1. In a heavy bottom kadai heat 1 tsp ghee/oil fry dry nuts one by one.( Do not fry at once…fry seperately)

Here, I added at once because this iron skillet is too wide, can easily fry without mixing.

2. Fry well. Sprinkle salt & pepper, curry leaves.

3. Let it cool. Crush curry leaves with hand as it leaves nice aroma to the mix.

4. Your healthy munch is ready. Keep in air tight container.

  2. Syamala, your post is inspiring me to prepare it first thing in the morning. I usually take all these dry fruits from the fridge (being too lazy to roast them) and munch them between breakfast and lunch. Tomorrow I am roasting them🙂

    1. Thanks deeksha! I often forget to add nuts in to my diet. So, I roast and keep handy ..even for kiddos I keep on their study table . This helps in avoiding junk and unhealthy munching!
