Sounds like an interesting name! Yes, it is.. not only it’s naming it also tastes delicious. In life very few things come close to our heart..this is one such recipe for me. In my childhood, my mom used to make this sweet frequently.we were very fond of it. When I grew up I learned this recipe from my mom. Since then whenever I make this sweet it takes me down the lane to the memories of my childhood.

Now coming to its name..as the name says we use 6 variety of ingredients each one cup. Some make-up as 7 cups sweet by adding one more cup gram flour.

Let’s not waste much time,we go in to the recipe..

Gramflour- Highly nutritious, rich in vitamins and minerals.

Ghee-Indian superfood.

Coconut– boosts immunity

Milk- Rich source of calcium.

Gram flour/besan – 1 cup

Milk-1 cup(full cream milk)

Ghee- 1 cup

Coconut-1 cup (freshly grated)

Sugar – 2 cups

Total= 6 cups

1.Use heavy bottom kadai and cook in low flame as it may tend to stick to the bottom.

2. Instead of fresh coconut you can use dry coconut powder too but taste may vary.

3.Use same measuring cup to measure all ingredients.

PREP TIME: 10 minutes

COOKING TIME: 30 minutes

TOTAL TIME: 40 minutes.

1.In a heavy bottom kadai dry fry gram flour for few minutes just to remove raw flavour and Keep aside.

2.In the same kadai fry grated coconut with one tbsp ghee. Fry until moisture evaporates or dry.

3.Now add all the ingredients one by one to the kadai and mix well.Intially you find few lumps. With continuous stirring they vanish.

4.keep stirring continuously on low heat.It takes approximately 30 minutes to get desired consistency.

5.Key ingredient here is ‘patience’.

6.When the mixture starts leaving kadai n form dough like consistency(shown in below picture) , switch off the flame transfer immediately in to a greased steel tray.

7. After 5 minutes cut in to desired shapes. let it cool completely and store in an airtight jar.stays fresh up to 15 days at room temperature.
